There’s no big or extensive article today! I wanted to take a moment to offer a short encouragement for this Thanksgiving weekend. If you are anything like me, you have more to be thankful for than you can possibly name. But the other day, a friend of mine reminded me of something. She said:
“ Remember, you are living in an answered prayer.”
In other words, so many of the blessings you are experiencing in your life, your family, or even in this church are the results of answered prayers prayed years ago.
The prayer you prayed as a teenager to marry the right person…
The prayer your momma prayed to be a grandmother one day…
The prayer your youth group prayed that you’d walk with Jesus the rest of your life…
Most of the breakthroughs, blessings, and burdens lifted from our lives result from the prayers and faithful men and women calling on God to move. And because God answered their prayers, you are reading this today.
My hope for you is that this Thanksgiving, you will:
Dwell on God’s goodness and faithfulness to hear his people.
Continue to call out in prayer even if you don’t see it “working.”
He hears you.
He sees you.
He is plotting for your joy.
You are living in thousands of answered prayers.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Pastor Landon
